The Coleraine community is mourning the peaceful passing of Ronnie Callaghan, who died on 25th January 2026 at Causeway Hospital. A cherished resident of 9 Wheatfield Gardens, Coleraine, and formerly of Articlave, Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family. His loss is deeply felt across the Callaghan and Ramage family circles, as well as among friends and neighbours who held him in high regard.

Ronnie was the dearly beloved husband of Roberta, with whom he shared a lifetime of companionship, strength, and affection. He was a much‑loved father to Alan and Christine, whose lives were shaped by his steady guidance, gentle humour, and constant support. As a father‑in‑law to Fiona and Douglas, Ronnie extended his kindness and generosity, welcoming them fully into the family.

Ronnie was also a loving brother, brother‑in‑law, and uncle, roles he embraced with sincerity and affection, strengthening the bonds that connected the Callaghan and Ramage families.

A Service of Thanksgiving for Ronnie’s life will be held in First Dunboe Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. The family has requested family flowers only, encouraging those who wish to honour Ronnie’s memory to consider donations to Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to their hearts.
