The Colby and Wilson families are mourning the peaceful passing of Ann Colby (née Wilson), who died on 26th January 2026 at her home on Circular Road, surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Dundee, Scotland, Ann’s life was one marked by devotion, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to her. Her loss is deeply felt by her entire family circle and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ann was the beloved wife of the late Stan, with whom she shared a lifetime of companionship and cherished memories. Together, they built a strong and loving family, one that continues to reflect the values they instilled. She was a loving mother to Karen, Donna, Maria, Lisa, and Matthew, each of whom carries forward her legacy of warmth and resilience. As a mother‑in‑law to Paul, Aidy, Ronan, and Caoimhe, Ann welcomed each into her heart with generosity and affection.

A devoted grandmother and great‑grandmother, Ann found immense joy in her growing family. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love—memories her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren will forever treasure. She was also the dear daughter of the late Matthew and Amy, and a cherished sister to Matthew, Tracey, and Bobby, while remembering with love her late brother John. Her role as a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews further reflected her nurturing spirit.

Ann will repose at her home on Monday, 26th January, from 4:00 p.m., offering family and friends the opportunity to pay their respects. Her funeral will leave her residence on Thursday, 29th January, at 10:20 a.m., proceeding to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in the City Cemetery.

Deeply loved and profoundly missed, Ann’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes, intercede for her.
